    Hello,
I am researching the MaxiSys and I am looking for new scan tool. I have a older Solus & complete Autoenginuity software (very disappointing) with the VSI-J2534 Passthru Re-programmer on Panasonic CF-19.

I would like to ask those of you that own the MaxiSys a few questions if you don't mind.

    1. Have any of you used the Maxiscope MS408 and did it perform well?
    2. Will the MaxiSys work with my existing VSI-J2534 Passthru?

I am sure I will have more questions, so...

    Thanks for your time

None of the aboved. Get a 905 or 908 and cardaq m with oem subs. The only reason I
don't mention 908p is because there is no flashing available on autel forum yet. Take
your time and read the forum as much as you can and you will see for your self what
the best tools are on the market today and all the issues as well. Welcome to the forum
    and wish you good luck.

You can get a 908p. But like ede said programming is not through the autel site yet.
But you can program with the j2534 through manufactor sites. I've done quite a few.
So if you get the pro unit when this feature comes available yiu can use it that way as
well. Win win to me. Cause it can be used both ways.

The VSI J2534 does not use the Autoenginuity Software it is strictly OEM Subs, Made by DG Technology.   http://dgtech.com/product/vsi2534/vsi2534.php

I would hate to have to replace it to. The reason I asked is I watched a video of key programing on an Acura using the Maxisys Pro & the Autel J2534 together, did not show using an oem sub, it was done thru the MaxiSys.

    Thanks Again

You don't have to buy a passthru then, just a maxisys is fine, programming honda/
acura keys is done with with any maxisys tool even maxidas, no j2534 is required, this
is regular function of our tools. You can use you pasthru j2534 tool for fashing on oem
sites when needed. Also no pin code is needed for honda with our tools for most
    vehicles.

Ede is right. You don't need the j2534 unit to program keys. You can always buy the
maxisys unit and upgrade to the pro by buying the J2534 unit later if you decide. The
J2534 unit once they work all the programs into this will have an advantage as you will
be able to program from autel site. One site is all you'll need.

     Thanks Wild Bill, & ede65.
I will more than likely be ordering a Maxisys Pro after I sell my Autoenginuity.

    Thanks Again
